Dr. Drew: I know of no evidence that this has been shown to be the case. Certainly, there are many people out there using marijuana and ecstasy, but I have not seen many complaints of women becoming inadvertently pregnant. However, the birth control pill can be affected by essentially any other medication, so it makes sense that there would be a possibility that any illicit drug could interact or could diminish the effectiveness of the oral contraceptive pill.
